NUC Grants Full Accreditation to 27 Programs at PAAU

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to 27 programs at Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU) in Kogi State. This accreditation includes five postgraduate programs and 22 undergraduate programs across various faculties such as Agriculture, Arts, Law, and Health Sciences.

The announcement was made by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman, who emphasized the importance of this achievement in enhancing the university's academic reputation.

He acknowledged the unwavering support from the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahm Usman Ododo, which provided the necessary resources for this success. The accreditation process, conducted between October and November 2025, reflects the university's steady growth and commitment to quality assurance in higher education.

Additionally, Prof. Usman credited the previous Vice Chancellor, Prof.

Marietu Ohunene Tenuch, for her leadership during the accreditation exercise, which laid the foundation for this success. The university aims to continue improving its standards and consolidating its gains in academic excellence.
