Osun ALGON Raises Alarm Over Alleged APC Plot to Divert LG Funds

The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Osun State has raised concerns over an alleged plot by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to divert local government funds. ALGON accused an APC member of fraudulently becoming a signatory to a local government account, aiming to siphon funds.

The state chairman, Hon Sarafadeen Awotunde, claimed that the APC member impersonated a civil servant to gain access to the account. This revelation came after a live broadcast on ARISE TV where an APC governorship aspirant, Kunle Adegoke, admitted to the unauthorized account opening.

The situation highlights a potential financial mismanagement issue within the local government system in Osun State.
