Nwaiwu Celebrates First Super Eagles Appearance in Victory

Chibuik Nwaiwu, a defender for Trabzonspor, celebrated his maiden appearance for the Super Eagles during a match against Iran, which took place in Antalya, Turkey, on a Friday. Nwaiwu, who is 22 years old, came on as a substitute for Igoh Ogbuh in the second half of the game, contributing to the team's 2-1 victory.

His inclusion in the squad was a late call-up, necessitated by an injury to fellow defender Calvin Bassey. Expressing his joy, Nwaiwu stated that it was a privilege to represent Nigeria, a three-time African champion, and he described his debut as a dream come true.
