NYA Empowers Youth for Good Governance and Democracy

The Nation Youth Alliance (NYA) serves as a credible platform for young Nigerians to promote good governance and defend democracy, as stated by Youth President Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abba. The organization inaugurated 123 local government coordinators in the South-South geopolitical zone during an event held on February 16, 2026, in Asaba, Delta State.

Ambassador Bin Abba highlighted that the NYA is a neutral movement, neither pro-government nor anti-government, aimed at preparing youth for future leadership roles. He noted the initiative's goal to register political parties to give young people and women a voice ahead of the 2027 elections, despite facing application denials from the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Bin Abba, who has served as a special adviser to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and as the Director General of the DPK Foundation, emphasized the need for mentorship and civic engagement. Hon. Bridget Anyafulu praised the initiative, stressing the importance of youth empowerment in governance.
