NYSC 2025 Batch B Stream II corps members to complete service on September 3

Thursday, September 3, 2026 marks the scheduled completion date for members of the 2025 Batch B Stream II undertaking mandatory national service, according to an announcement by the National Youth Service Corps. Caroline Embu, serving as the scheme's Director of Information and Public Relations, disclosed this via the NYSC's official social media channels on Monday.

All corps members, their employers, and other scheme stakeholders have been directed to take note of this date. Distribution of Certificates of National Service will occur at the local government level on that same date across affected states.

This approach to credential delivery operates at the state and local government tiers, enabling corps members to obtain their certificates at their respective posting locations rather than traveling to a central point, thus facilitating the process for the large outgoing cohort. Meanwhile, documentation for incoming cohorts has begun rolling out.

Prospective corps members stationed in Niger and Sokoto States who belong to the 2026 Batch B Stream II may now retrieve and print their call-up letters via the official NYSC portal. The deployment documentation release precedes the commencement of their service obligation.

Beginning August 12, 2026, the orientation course will commence for the incoming 2026 Batch B Stream II. Formal swearing-in proceedings are slated for August 14, followed by the closing of the orientation phase on September 1—a span of merely two days before the departing batch concludes their tenure.

This tight scheduling demonstrates coordination between the departure of one group and the arrival of the subsequent group within the national service apparatus.
