NYSC DG Urges 2026 Batch ‘A’ Corps Members to Respect Local Customs

The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, advised the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Corps Members to respect local customs and contribute meaningfully to Nigeria's socio-economic growth. He emphasized the importance of discipline, creativity, financial management, and good conduct in their host communities and workplaces.

The orientation course for the batch began on January 21, 2026, across 37 camps nationwide, with over 3,300 corps members registered. The closing ceremony is scheduled for February 10, 2026.

Ogun State NYSC Coordinator, Mr. Olayinka Nasamu, and Oyo State NYSC Coordinator, Mr.

Kayode Ola Peter, commended the corps members for their readiness to contribute to national development.
