NYSC Boss Urges Store Officers on Accountability and Service

During a workshop held at Bolingo Xperia Hotel in Abuja, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, the Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), urged store officers to uphold professionalism and accountability in managing government properties. He highlighted the critical role of efficient store administration in the success of the NYSC's programs.

Nafiu, whose address was delivered by the Director of Planning, Research, and Statistics, Mr. Nura Umar, called for prudence and integrity in discharging responsibilities to ensure effective service delivery.

He stressed the importance of accurate record-keeping and compliance with established storekeeping procedures. The workshop, themed "Efficient Storekeeping: A Pillar of Accountability in Service Delivery," drew participation from 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, emphasizing the need for continuous capacity building and regular training programs to enhance staff performance.

Mr. Yetunde Baderinwa described the workshop as a vital platform for knowledge sharing and adopting modern best practices in inventory control and record-keeping.
