NYSC and NADDC Launch CNG Training for Corps Members

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) have collaborated to provide CNG retrofit training for Corps Members, formalized through a memorandum of understanding (MoU). Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, the Director General of NYSC, stated that the initiative aims to train 300,000 Corps Members annually, enhancing their skills in entrepreneurship and vocational training.

The NADDC, represented by Otunba Joseph Osanipin, committed to integrating CNG retrofit training into the NYSC's Skill Acquisition Programme, which has been operational since 2012. The partnership will last for three years, focusing on producing certified CNG technicians to support Nigeria's energy transition agenda.

Dr. Titilola Gbadamosi, Special Assistant to the President on Youth Initiatives, emphasized the importance of this collaboration in equipping Nigerian youth with relevant skills for the job market.
