Oando Reaffirms Commitment to Indigenous Upstream Growth

Oando Energy Resources, under the leadership of Managing Director Ainoji Irun, has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Nigeria's indigenous upstream ecosystem. This statement was made during a strategic visit with Aradel Adegbit Falad, Chairman of the Independent Petroleum Producers Group (IPPG).

The engagement focused on enhancing collaboration among indigenous producers and advancing industry advocacy for local operations. Falad acknowledged Oando's pivotal role within the IPPG over the past decade, noting that IPPG members now account for half of Nigeria's oil production.

Oando's Group Chief Executive Wale Tinubu and Deputy Group Chief Executive Omamof Boyo expressed appreciation for the company's contributions to the IPPG's 10-year anniversary activities. Irun emphasized Oando's long-term commitment to advancing indigenous upstream capacity in Nigeria and highlighted the importance of strong governance and advocacy to ensure sustainable production growth.

The meeting concluded with a call for sharper advocacy and deeper coordination among member companies to adapt to regulatory market dynamics.
