Oando Reaffirms Commitment to Indigenous Upstream Growth

Oando has received the leadership of the Independent Petroleum Producers Group (IPPG) and reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Nigeria's indigenous upstream oil and gas sector. During a strategic visit led by IPPG Managing Director Aradel Adegbit Falad, Oando's Managing Director Ainoji Irun emphasized the company's alignment with efforts to bolster the indigenous upstream ecosystem.

Falad acknowledged Oando's pivotal role within the IPPG and the broader upstream sector over the past decade, noting that IPPG members now account for half of Nigeria's oil production. Oando's Group Chief Executive Wale Tinubu and Deputy Group Chief Executive Omamof Boyo expressed appreciation for the company's contributions to the IPPG's 10-year anniversary activities.

The discussions highlighted the need for sharper advocacy and stronger institutional alignment among member companies to enhance the industry’s regulatory framework. Irun reiterated Oando's long-term commitment to advancing indigenous upstream capacity in Nigeria, emphasizing the importance of governance and coordination for sustainable growth.
