Obi and Dickson Meet Kwankwaso Before NDC Convention

On Friday night, former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi and former Bayelsa State Governor Seriake Dickson paid a courtesy visit to former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso at his residence in Maitama, Abuja. The visit was reported by Kwankwaso's media aide, Hon.

Saifullahi Hassan, who stated that the political leaders discussed national development, although specific details of the meeting were not disclosed. Present at the meeting alongside Kwankwaso were former Kano State Deputy Governor Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, Senator Rufa Sani Hanga, prominent NNPP chieftain Buba Galadima, and House of Representatives member Yusuf Datti Kura.

This visit occurred ahead of the first national convention of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), which is set to take place in Abuja on Saturday, May 9, 2026. The NDC announced the convention in a statement released on Friday, inviting delegates from across the country to attend and gather party members and stakeholders.
