Akah Endorses Obi and Kwankwaso for 2027 Elections

Peter Akah, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency in the 2027 elections, has endorsed the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, as the most qualified individuals to lead Nigeria. Akah stated that the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket represents a chance to tackle the country's leadership, accountability, and governance crises, citing their competence during their tenures as governors of Anambra and Kano states.

He criticized the current governance pattern, attributing Nigeria's challenges to corruption and poor accountability rather than a lack of resources. Akah also condemned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission's recent freezing of Osun State Government accounts, suggesting it undermines the electoral process ahead of the state’s governorship election.

He warned that such actions could erode public confidence in democracy and urged Nigerians to defend their votes to prevent the country from becoming a one-party state.
