Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso's proposed 2027 presidential partnership has been characterized by Buba Galadima, a senior Nigeria Democratic Congress figure, as possessing restorative potential for Nigeria. He emphasized that the Kwankwasiyya movement's collaboration with the Obidient Movement stems from a deep-rooted belief that merging these two forces offers the nation its strongest foundation. Galadima rejected contentions regarding ideological rifts separating the two leaders, instead insisting that both operate with shared purpose.

While acknowledging that remaining policy divergences require harmonization efforts within the NDC, he maintained confidence that unified campaign messaging will ultimately emerge. The pair, he affirmed, pursue fundamentally compatible goals despite apparent surface-level distinctions.

Yet Galadima introduced caution into his assessment of the forthcoming presidential race, voicing profound reservations about electoral fairness. He asserted that knowledge of what transpires during the 2027 contest rests exclusively with God and President Bola Tinubu.

Drawing attention to recent assaults directed against opposition figures and supporters throughout multiple regions, Galadima highlighted these episodes as warning signs of systematic intimidation, casting doubt upon whether conditions for transparent balloting can materialise. The NDC chieftain made clear that the Obi-Kwankwaso pairing's pathway to electoral triumph hinges critically on procedural integrity.
