Abdullahi Critiques Obi, Kwankwaso's Defection Impact

Bolaji Abdullahi, a member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stated that the decision of Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso to defect from the ADC would adversely affect the opposition's chances in Nigeria. Abdullahi lamented that individual departures weaken the coalition's strength.

Additionally, he commented on President Bola Tinubu's appointment of Major General Adeyinka Fadewa (Rtd) as a special advisor on homeland security. Abdullahi raised concerns about this appointment, questioning the necessity of adding another security advisor when Nigeria already has a National Security Advisor, Nuhu Ribadu, whom he criticized for lacking confidence in addressing security issues.

Abdullahi urged Tinubu to reconsider the appointment, suggesting that Fadewa's expertise might be better suited for the U.S. homeland rather than Nigeria.
