Ayodele Predicts Obi, Kwankwaso Will Struggle in 2027

Primate Elijah Ayodele, founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has predicted that the presidential bid of Peter Obi and his running mate Rabiu Kwankwaso will not succeed in the 2027 general election. He attributes this prediction to the National Democratic Coalition's (NDC) strategic error of contesting independently rather than forming a coalition with the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Ayodele criticized the NDC's decision to run as a standalone party, arguing that it has effectively removed them from serious electoral considerations. He stated, “I do not see ‘OK’ (Obi and Kwankwaso) going anywhere in the 2027 Presidential election.” Obi and Kwankwaso had previously defected from the ADC to the NDC in May due to internal divisions within the ADC.

The NDC adopted the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket for the upcoming election, while the ADC selected Atiku Abubakar as its candidate. Ayodele emphasized that the NDC's independent bid has weakened its electoral prospects, insisting that a united opposition is essential to challenge the ruling party.
