Kwankwaso Confident Obi Will Defeat Tinubu in 2027

Rabiu Kwankwaso, a prominent figure in the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), stated that he is confident Peter Obi will defeat the current president, Bola Tinubu, in the upcoming 2027 general elections. Speaking during an appearance on Channels Television's "Politics Today," Kwankwaso highlighted the growing support for the NDC across different parts of Nigeria, indicating a shift beyond its traditional strongholds.

He mentioned that public sentiment is increasingly favorable towards the NDC, with notable support observed in various markets, including Wuse Market and Sabon Gari in Kano, as well as in Ibadan. Kwankwaso expressed optimism that the NDC will emerge victorious in the next presidential election, suggesting that many surprises will arise in favor of the party as the election approaches.
