Peter Obi Calls for Collective Action Ahead of 2027 Elections

Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, called on Nigerians to join a collective effort to rescue the nation in the lead-up to the 2027 presidential elections. Speaking in Uyo, he emphasized that the mission to rescue Nigeria should not be an individual endeavor but a collective one, as the country faces significant challenges due to poor governance.

Obi highlighted the alarming debt situation, noting that loans taken by successive administrations will be repaid between 2045 and 2050, plunging the country into deeper indebtedness. He criticized the current administration's handling of elections, warning against electoral rigging and stressing the importance of real-time online result transmission by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Obi also mentioned his administration's substantial investments in education and health sectors, aiming to reduce poverty and crime. He pledged to combat corruption, citing his own experience as governor, where he prioritized integrity and governance.
