Obidient Movement Disowns Unauthorized Parallel Structures

The Obidient Movement, represented by its National Coordinator Dr. Yunusa Tanko, has officially distanced itself from unauthorized groups and individuals allegedly attempting to create confusion by operating parallel structures under its name.

In a statement, Tanko clarified that the movement recognizes no factions or alternative leadership outside its established structure, which is aligned with the presidential candidacy of Peter Obi for the Labour Party in the 2023 elections. The movement has become aware of certain individuals and groups trying to exploit its identity for ulterior motives, which could misrepresent its values and leadership.

Tanko urged members and the public to be cautious of these deceptive entities, emphasizing that they do not represent the Obidient Movement's ideals. The movement has emerged as a significant political force, galvanizing millions of young Nigerians through social media and grassroots platforms, and remains committed to promoting integrity, accountability, and justice in the pursuit of a new Nigeria.
