Obidient Movement Meets El-Rufai in Abuja, Eyes Strategic Alliances Ahead of 2027 Elections

The Obidient Movement, a political group supporting Labour Party's 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi, recently met with former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai in Abuja. The meeting, described as a strategic dialogue, aims to strengthen democracy, electoral reform, voter education, and national unity in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

The National Coordinator of the movement, Tanko Yunusa, highlighted El-Rufai's influence as a northern leader and emphasized the importance of building bridges across regions and backgrounds. The group also launched two new initiatives, "Go Get Permanent Voters Card (PVC)" and "GO MEND (Get Organized Make Election Rigging Difficult)," to mobilize millions of Nigerians as a strong voting bloc to protect the integrity of the electoral process.

The movement's mission is to rescue and rebuild the nation, with Yunusa emphasizing that every voice sharing their vision is an asset in creating a new Nigeria.
