Obidient Movement Defends Obi Against Salami's Claims

Dr. Yunusa Tanko, the national coordinator of the Obidient Movement, stated that Obi will not be distracted by Salami's remarks, which they view as an attempt to rewrite history.

Tanko emphasized that the legal issues surrounding Obi's candidacy, particularly his membership in the Labour Party, have already been thoroughly litigated and settled in court. He criticized Salami for not focusing on reforming the judiciary and instead attempting to cast doubt on Obi's candidacy, which has garnered overwhelming support from millions of Nigerians.

The movement highlighted Obi's track record as the former governor of Anambra State, noting his financial stewardship and absence of criminal allegations. They asserted that Salami's comments lack legal weight and do not affect Obi's legitimate candidacy.
