Delta State Governor Seeks N200 Billion Supplementary Budget Approval

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has requested the Delta State Assembly's approval for a N200 billion supplementary budget to adjust the state's 2025 spending framework. The supplementary budget aims to realign expenditures to reflect emerging obligations faced during the fiscal year.

Governor Oborevwori highlighted the need for additional spending to sustain the implementation of the state's development agenda and meet obligations not fully captured in the original budget. The proposed budget adjustments include increased allocations for healthcare and pension funds.

The total revised 2025 budget size is expected to rise to N1.179 trillion.
