Delta State Declared No-Go Area for Opposition Parties

Sheriff Oborevwori, the Governor of Delta State, proclaimed the state a "no-go area" for opposition parties during the inauguration of the 4.8-kilometer Oko-Amakom-Oko-Obiokpu-Oko-Anala road in Oko Kingdom, Oshimili South Local Government Area. He emphasized that his administration has delivered substantial infrastructure projects within less than three years, contributing to his electoral success in 2023, where he won in 21 out of 25 local government areas.

The governor announced the award of the phase two Oko road project to Setraco Nigeria Limited, valued at 16.9 billion Naira, with a completion timeline of 24 months. He expressed confidence that the contractor would finish ahead of schedule.

The newly commissioned road is expected to transform the lives of farmers by improving access to markets, thereby increasing their income and living standards. Additionally, Oborevwori highlighted ongoing projects, including a technical college and drainage systems, aimed at enhancing community development.
