Oborevwori Wins Best Governor Award for Urban Development

On Saturday, Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori was honored with the Best Governor Award at the Independent Newspaper's 25th anniversary celebration held at Eko Hotel. The award recognized his administration's performance, particularly in urban development.

The award was determined through a combination of public votes and a rigorous assessment by a jury from the newspaper's board. Steve Omanufem, the Managing Director and Editor of the Independent Newspaper, congratulated Oborevwori on this achievement.

Deputy Governor Mondai Onyem stated that the award reflects the administration's impact since Oborevwori assumed office in 2023, highlighting significant changes in urban renewal. The administration has delivered 300 kilometers of roads in the past year, addressing infrastructural deficits.

Onyem emphasized the commitment to continue development efforts and set a standard for future administrations in Delta State.
