Peter Odili Urges Measures to Reduce Medical Brain Drain in Nigeria

Former Governor Peter Odili of Rivers State has suggested measures to reduce the mass migration of medical professionals from Nigeria. He highlighted the need for increased salaries and training programs to curb the "japa syndrome." Odili commended President Bola Tinubu for his efforts in the health sector and urged the federal government to invest in healthcare workers.

He also thanked the state government, particularly Governor Siminalayi Fubara, for initiating sustainable scholarship schemes for indigenous students. Professor Fatima Kyari of the Medic Dental Council of Nigeria was also mentioned during an induction ceremony for new medical graduates.
