Governor Ododo Lauds Media's Role in Good Governance

Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo expressed his appreciation for the media's critical role in promoting good governance during a recent press week event organized by the Correspondents' Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kogi State Council, held in Lokoja. Represented by Kingsley Fanwo, the Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Ododo highlighted the media's responsibility to serve as a credible link between the government and citizens.

He acknowledged the media's efforts in showcasing Kogi State on an international platform and urged journalists to maintain ethical standards while reporting. Ododo emphasized the need for the media to avoid misusing their influence and to focus on constructive criticism to improve governance.

He called for collaboration between the government and media to identify solutions to challenges and to highlight the opportunities available in Kogi State.
