Kogi Lawmaker Commends Governor Ododo on Security Efforts

Idoko Idoko, a former member of the Kogi State House of Assembly and the former Chief Whip representing Dekina/Biraidu State Constituency from 2015 to 2023, praised Governor Usman Ododo for his unwavering commitment to addressing insecurity in Kogi State. Speaking to journalists in Lokoja, Idoko rated Ododo's administration highly for its leadership qualities and responsiveness to security threats, particularly noting the collaboration with security agencies to combat banditry and kidnapping.

He highlighted the construction of the 21st Battalion Nigerian Army in Kogi East, which has helped reduce security threats in the region. Idoko expressed gratitude for the governor's swift action in closing schools in response to security reports.

He also urged the populace to support Ododo's leadership and to avoid ethnic sentiments, emphasizing the importance of good governance. Furthermore, he acknowledged the administration's various policies aimed at improving health, education, and agriculture in partnership with the World Bank to ensure food security.
