Kogi Governor Ododo Calls for Media Support on Governance

During the 2026 Press Week held by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kogi State Council in Lokoja, Kogi State Governor Ahm Usman Ododo reaffirmed his administration's commitment to strengthening collaboration with the media to promote good governance. He acknowledged the media's critical role in showcasing the state's opportunities and emphasized the importance of constructive criticism.

Ododo highlighted ongoing efforts to improve electricity supply and establish a regulatory framework for the power sector, while also addressing security challenges in the state. He called on journalists to help promote Kogi's potential and sustain their partnership with the government.

The event featured remarks from various media representatives, including Chairman Segun Ademola Salami and NUJ Vice President D. Adeiza Momohjimoh, who praised the relationship between the Kogi State government and the media.
