Odu’a Investment Secures AA-(NG) Rating from GCR

Odu’a Investment Company Limited (OICL) has been assigned a national scale long-term issuer rating of AA-(NG) and a short-term issuer rating of A1+(NG) by GCR Ratings, an affiliate of Moodys, with a stable outlook. This inaugural rating acknowledges OICL's strong portfolio and conservative financial profile.
Dr Tola Kasali, the new OICL Group Chairman, stated that the rating endorses the Group's five-decade legacy of prudent stewardship and value creation. He noted that the rating reflects the Group's conservative leverage, strong liquidity, and quality of underlying assets.
Group Managing Director Mr. Abdulrahman Yinusa expressed satisfaction with the rating, highlighting a liquidity coverage of approximately 2x over the next 24 months, supported by a liquid portfolio valued at over N80 billion and unencumbered cash of N4.8 billion. The Group plans to invest up to USD 200 million over the next three to five years in sectors such as hospitality, real estate, logistics, and power to enhance long-term earnings.
