Imo Police Disburses N26.4m to Families of Fallen Officers

The Imo State Police Command presented cheques totaling N26,428,898 to the families of 52 police officers who died in active service. This event occurred on Friday at the office of the Commissioner of Police, Audu Garba Bosso, who represented the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu.

The funds were distributed under the Group Life Assurance/Group Personnel Accident Scheme, designed to provide financial support to the families of officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. Bosso expressed condolences to the beneficiaries and acknowledged the sacrifices made by the deceased officers.

Among the beneficiaries were Felista Okorie, Gift Chidera Omini, Stella Chidinma Nwosu, Nkeiruka Okparada, Florence Offoegbu, and Edith Ogochukwu Onyekwere. Nwosu, speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, expressed gratitude for the financial assistance, highlighting its importance in supporting the families.

The command reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare of its personnel and their families.
