Sultan of Sokoto Responds to CAN's Invitation Denial

The Sultan of Sokoto issued a statement addressing the Christian Association of Nigeria's (CAN) denial of an invitation to a groundbreaking ceremony for the Ecumen Chapel at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. The Sultan's media team clarified that an official invitation card was indeed sent, countering CAN's claims.

The statement emphasized the Sultan's commitment to fostering inter-religious peace and harmony among Nigeria's diverse religious and ethnic groups. The Sultan's media team noted that it is not uncommon for religious leaders to participate in events outside their faith traditions.
