Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic Introduces 17 New Programs to Meet Global Demands

Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic in Aba has introduced 17 new programs in response to changing global demands, bringing the total approved programs offered by the institution to 47. The Rector, Christopher Okoro, highlighted the addition of programs such as artificial intelligence, Mechatronics Engineering, Multimedia Journalism, and Cyber Security Law, among others, to meet the evolving needs of the local environment.

The new programs aim to equip students with skills relevant to current market trends and technological advancements. The institution also received accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for the new programs, signaling a positive turnaround after facing accreditation challenges in the past.
