Nigerian Stars Ogbu and Nwachukwu in Champions League Action
Igoh Ogbu and Christian Nwachukwu are leading a group of Nigerian players in the opening round of Champions League fixtures. Ogbu, a centre-back for Slavia Prague, is expected to play a crucial role in the match against Lens at the Fortuna Arena.
He joined Slavia Prague in January 2023 and has established a reputation for his physical strength, tackling, and aerial ability. These qualities will be essential as Slavia Prague faces Lens, a team that finished as runners-up in Ligue 1 last season and won the Coupe de France in May.
Slavia Prague enters this match with an unbeaten domestic run, having secured 17 points from their first seven league games this season. Additionally, Prosper Obah will be involved in Shakhtar Donetsk's match against PSV Eindhoven.
