Nigerians Shine in Europa, Conference League Playoffs

Twelve Nigerian players will participate in the Europa and Conference League playoffs. Paul Onuachu will lead Trabzonspor's attack against Ferencvaros at Papara Park on August 24, having been the Super Lig's joint-top scorer last season with 22 goals.

Head coach Fatih Tekke acknowledged the challenge posed by Ferencvaros. Wilfred Ndidi will play a pivotal role in Beşiktaş's midfield against Kauno Zalgiris at Tupras Stadyumu, contributing to the team's strong defensive record.

Beşiktaş has bolstered its squad with new signings including Alexander Nubel and Dusan Vlahovic. Francis Uzoho will guard Omonia's goal against Sint-Truiden, aiming for another clean sheet after a solid start to the season.

Lawal faces a tough match with Viktoria Plzen against Red Star Belgrade, while Yusuf will look to support Ferencvaros's attack against Trabzonspor. The return leg for these matches will take place on August 27.
