Doctor Clarifies Ogogo's Cancer Treatment Situation

Doctor Olusina Ajidahun addressed claims made by the daughters of veteran Yoruba actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, regarding hospitals allegedly refusing to treat their father. Ajidahun explained that the situation likely relates to a transition to palliative care after all available cancer treatments have been explored.

He stated that patients with stage-four cancer may be moved to palliative care, which focuses on managing symptoms and improving quality of life when the disease can no longer be effectively treated. Ajidahun cautioned that the statement about hospitals rejecting Ogogo could mislead the public and negatively impact healthcare workers.

He also warned against recommending unverified herbal remedies for stage-four cancer, stating that such concoctions could cause further health complications. Ajidahun expressed sympathy for Ogogo’s family and urged them to collaborate closely with the medical team.

He clarified that he was not involved in Ogogo’s treatment but was commenting based on videos posted by the actor’s daughters.
