Sowunmi-Kolapo Urges Ogun Residents to Vote PDP in 2027

Lateefat Sowunmi-Kolapo, the deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State, addressed a community stakeholders’ meeting in Obantoko, Odeda Local Government Area, where she criticized the economic hardship faced by residents. She encouraged them to accept any financial offers from the All Progressives Congress (APC) while still voting for the PDP, asserting that such money belongs to the people.

Sowunmi-Kolapo emphasized the need to prevent "strangers" from ruling the state, warning that it would lead to calamity. She called for a massive turnout to protect their votes, assuring attendees of security provisions during the election.

Abiodun Ogunremi, the Deputy State Chairman of the PDP, echoed her sentiments, urging residents to resist any attempts to impose outsiders on them. Other PDP members, including Fasiu Bakenne and Dele Olaleye, also encouraged voters to support the party for local government autonomy.

Ezekiel Adeleye, the Chairman of PDP in Obantoko Ward, expressed community support for Sowunmi-Kolapo.
