Ogun PDP Deputy Gov Candidate Promises Inclusivity Post-Election

’Yemi Sowunmi-Kolapo, the Deputy Governorship Candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State, assured members of opposition parties that they would not be neglected after the PDP's anticipated victory in the 2027 governorship election. Speaking at the PDP Ijemo Zone meeting in Ward 5, Abeokuta South, she encouraged residents to vote for all PDP candidates in the upcoming elections.

Sowunmi-Kolapo expressed confidence in the party's success and its commitment to inclusive governance, stating that the interests of all residents would be safeguarded regardless of political affiliation. She addressed concerns of opposition members, assuring them that they would still have a place in governance after the elections.

Additionally, Biodun Ogunremi, the Deputy State Chairman of the PDP, called for intensified grassroots mobilization, while High Chief Mustapha Owolabi, the Director-General of the PDP Campaign Council, described the 2027 election as a “done deal,” emphasizing the electorate's desire for good governance.
