Ogun APC Suspends Ex-Gov Gbenga Daniel

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has suspended former governor and senator representing Ogun East, Gbenga Daniel, for alleged misconduct. Daniel, along with his ally Kunle Folarin, was suspended indefinitely by the party's State Working Committee following a recommendation by a disciplinary panel set up in their respective wards in Sagamu Local Government Area.

The party's Director of Publicity, Nuberu Olufemi, stated that Daniel and Folarin were investigated by disciplinary committees in their wards but failed to defend themselves or submit written responses. The decision to suspend them was made to protect the integrity of the disciplinary process.

The State Working Committee of the APC ratified the suspension, stating that it was necessary to enforce discipline and preserve the sanctity of the party's constitution.
