Ogun: APC’s Elegbeji Wins Remo By-Election

APC's Elegbeji emerged victorious in the Remo By-Election in Ogun State, as announced by Returning Officer Kazeem Bello at the Ikenne collation center on Sunday. Elegbeji met all electoral requirements and was declared the winner to represent Remo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

The results showed Elegbeji secured a total of votes, defeating his closest rival, Bolarinwa Oluwole of the PDP, who polled votes. The vote distribution across the three local government areas indicated that Ikenne LGA favored APC, Remo North LGA leaned towards PDP, and Sagamu LGA also supported APC.

This by-election was conducted following the passing of the former representative, Adewunmi Onanuga, on January 15 after a brief illness.
