Ogun State Appoints Feyisara Bolarinwa as DG of Procurement

Ogun State has appointed Feyisara Bolarinwa Adebowal as the new Director General of the Bureau of Public Procurement. The announcement was made by Kehind Onasanya, the head of service, on Friday.

Bolarinwa Adebowal succeeds the late Dr. Adesina Olanloy and her appointment aligns with the extant procurement law.

She emerged from a competitive, merit-based selection process that involved shortlisting and interviewing suitable candidates. Bolarinwa Adebowal, who was born on May 22, 1978, in Ibadan, Oyo State, joined the civil service as a state counsel in December 2005.

She has a legal background, having attended Anglican Girls Grammar School in Ijebu Ode, earned her LL.B from Ogun State University, and trained at the Nigerian Law School in Lagos. Prior to her latest appointment, she served as the Deputy Director of Civil Litigation at the Ministry of Justice and later as the Head of Legal Office at the Bureau of Public Procurement.

Onasanya congratulated her on her appointment, emphasizing the importance of her role in ensuring due process and accountability in public contracts.
