Ogun State Appoints New DG for Bureau of Public Procurement

The Ogun State Government has appointed Mr. Feyisara Bolarinwa Adebowal as the new Director General of the Bureau of Public Procurement, succeeding the late Dr.

Adesina Olanloy. The announcement was made on Friday by Mr.

Kehind Onasanya, the Head of Service. The selection process for the new DG was competitive and merit-based, involving a screening and interview of qualified candidates from within the state civil service.

Mr. Bolarinwa Adebowal possesses the requisite skills and knowledge for the position.

He has been a lawyer and joined the Ogun State civil service as a state counsel in 2005. Previously, he served as the Deputy Director of Civil Litigation in the Ministry of Justice and as the Head of Legal Services at the Bureau of Public Procurement.

This appointment is part of Prince Dapo Abiodun's administration's efforts to strengthen due process and accountability in public contracting and to ensure that procurement policies align with international best practices within the framework of government bureaucratic procedures.
