Ogun State Government Acts Against Land Grabber in Dispute

The Ogun State Government intervened in a property dispute between businesswoman Damilola Adisa and suspected land grabber Najeem Osolake. Adisa alleged that Osolake threatened to seize her late father's property in Ibafo, despite her having valid documents and her father's grave on the land.
Following a report by Sunday PUNCH, Ogun State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice Oluwasina Ogungbade ordered Osolake's arrest in early August after he was initially released by the Ibafo Police Station. Osolake was charged in court and remanded for 60 days.
He later settled out of court after his children urged him to abandon his claims to the land, signing undertakings that he would not trespass or threaten Adisa and her family again. Ogungbade noted that Osolake's age, approximately 70 years, influenced the decision to mediate and withdraw the case.
