Ogun Assembly: Group Backs Jamiu Ogundel for 2027 Seat

A coalition of stakeholders from the Progressive Congress in Imeko Afon has formally appealed to Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and Senator Solomon Adeola to endorse Jamiu Ogundel as the consensus candidate for the Imeko Afon State Assembly seat in the upcoming 2027 elections. This appeal was made through a communiqué issued after a stakeholders' meeting led by former federal lawmaker Dele Ogunsiji.

The communiqué highlighted Ogundel's capabilities as a young leader and his commitment to improving education, healthcare, and infrastructure within the constituency. The stakeholders, including notable APC leaders, expressed their belief that Ogundel's emergence would promote peace and stability within the party and ensure that the voices of the people are heard at the state level.

They emphasized the importance of youth participation in governance and urged support for Ogundel to ensure a democratic process in the upcoming elections.
