Ogun State Implements Traffic Re-engineering to Enhance Road Safety and Traffic Flow

The Ogun State Ministry of Transport has commenced a comprehensive traffic re-engineering exercise on major roads across the state to improve road safety and ensure smooth traffic flow, particularly at critical intersections and high-traffic corridors. The Director of Transport Engineering, Hassan Ibrahim, and representative Olugbenga Dairo are overseeing interventions covering major highways and urban roads in locations like Lafenwa, Abeokuta, Sango Ota, and Sagamu.

The exercise includes marking zebra crossings, installing traffic signs, and strategically placing them to enhance traffic movement and safeguard road users. Routine maintenance and rehabilitation of traffic lights are also being carried out to optimize performance.

The initiative aims to standardize and enhance traffic control devices, promote discipline, and adhere to modern traffic engineering standards across the state.
