Ogun State Holds Security Meeting with Fulani Leaders

On Thursday, Ogun State convened a significant security meeting in Abeokuta, aimed at strengthening peace and preventing potential security threats across the state. The meeting was convened by the special adviser to the governor on security, AIG Olusola Subair, and included security service chiefs, representatives from local government chairmen, and traditional Fulani leaders.

The Seriki, representing the Miyetti Allah group, also participated. Subair highlighted the importance of proactive engagement and collaboration between the government, security agencies, and community leaders to sustain peace.

He explained that strong cooperation would enhance security and urged residents to remain vigilant. The meeting provided a platform for open dialogue to improve cooperation among stakeholders.

Fulani leaders reaffirmed their commitment to peace and pledged support for efforts to prevent criminal elements from infiltrating their communities. The state government encouraged residents to report suspicious activities through designated channels, including the Ogun State Police Command and emergency numbers.
