Tragic Deaths in Ogun State: Fuel Tanker Fire and School Clash Spark Chaos

In Ogun State, a tragic incident occurred as a fuel tanker overturned and caught fire, resulting in deaths. Babatunde Akinbiyi, spokesperson for the Traffic Compliance Enforcement Agency, explained that the accident happened due to excessive speeding, causing the tanker to spill its contents on the highway, leading to a fire outbreak.

The incident affected vehicles, the road, and an electric pole. Meanwhile, in another unfortunate event in the state, a student reportedly died and property was destroyed during a violent clash at Ilugun High School in Abeokuta.

The clash allegedly started when students protested against illegal fees collected by a teacher, leading to a confrontation with security operatives. Motorists were urged to comply with traffic directives in the affected area.
