Deadly Tanker Inferno Claims Lives Along Bida-Lapai Route

A tragic incident occurred along the Bida-Lapai route in Nigeria, where a tanker carrying petrol overturned, leading to a massive inferno that claimed the lives of 35 individuals and left 46 others severely injured. Despite repeated warnings from government agencies like the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the National Orientation Agency (NOA), the accident occurred due to the tanker spilling its highly flammable content across the road.

The FRSC Marshal, Shehu Moham, emphasized the need for safety measures to prevent such disasters, including proper tanker maintenance and compliance with safety regulations.
