Ogun State Approves New Infrastructure and Health Projects

The Ogun State Executive Council approved a series of infrastructure and economic development projects aimed at enhancing the state's connectivity, healthcare, and energy supply. The decisions were made during a meeting over the weekend, as announced by Hon. Kayode Akinmade, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Information and Strategy.

Key approvals include the reconstruction of the 4.87-kilometre Siun Junction–Iperu Junction Road and the Simawa–Lukosi/Ogijo Road, as well as variations for the Sango–Ota–Ijoko–Agbado–Oke-Aro–Akute Road (Phase I) and the 69.2-kilometre Abeokuta–Abule Egba Road. In healthcare, two new General Hospitals will be constructed in Itori and Aiyepe.

The Council also established the Ogun State Enterprise Development Agency to support micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, promoting entrepreneurship and job creation. Furthermore, Ogun State will participate in power generation through Gateway Power Limited to ensure reliable electricity for its growing industrial base.
