Ogun State Approves Major Road Reconstruction Projects

The Ogun State Executive Council, under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun, has approved the reconstruction of the Okun-Owa–Ijebu-Ode Road, along with several other roads across the state’s three senatorial districts. Other roads approved for reconstruction include the Ago-Iwoye–Ijebu-Igbo–Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic Road, Phase One of the Odeda–Olugbo Road, the Ayobo (Mopeola Junction)–Lafenwa Junction Road, and Agbala Road in Iperu.

These projects aim to improve connectivity, facilitate economic activities, and enhance residents' quality of life. Additionally, the council approved the construction of new legislative quarters, housing schemes, and the reconstruction of the Ogun State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.

The council also recognized and upgraded several traditional stools, including the Akoko of Tongeji Island and the Onitafin of Orile Itafin. Kayode Akinmade, Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Strategy, stated that these approvals reflect the administration's commitment to infrastructural transformation and sustainable development.
