Ogun State Approves Major Infrastructure and Healthcare Projects

The Ogun State Executive Council has approved a series of infrastructure and economic development projects aimed at enhancing the state's growth. This includes the reconstruction of the 4.87-kilometre Siun Junction–Iperu Junction Road and the Simawa–Lukosi/Ogijo Road in Sagamu Local Government Area.

Variations for the reconstruction of the Sango–Ota–Ijoko–Agbado–Oke-Aro–Akute Road and the 69.2-kilometre Abeokuta–Abule Egba Road were also approved. In healthcare, the council sanctioned the construction of new general hospitals in Itori, Ewekoro Local Government Area, and Aiyepe, Odogbolu Local Government Area, to improve healthcare access.

Additionally, the Ogun State Enterprise Development Agency will be established to support micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, promoting entrepreneurship and job creation. The council also approved Ogun State's participation in power generation through Gateway Power Limited to ensure reliable electricity for the state's industrial base, crucial for economic development.
