Ogun Lawmakers Endorse Tinubu for 2027 Re-election Bid

On Wednesday, members of the Ogun State House of Assembly reaffirmed their support for President Bola Tinubu's re-election for a second term in office, beginning in May 2027. The lawmakers, representing the All Progressives Congress (APC), expressed their endorsement during a brief meeting held at the Nigeria Union of Journalists Ogun State Council secretariat in Abeokuta.

They emphasized the significant economic reforms and infrastructure developments under Tinubu's leadership, which they believe have contributed to Nigeria's economic stabilization. The assembly members, comprising 20 out of 26 lawmakers, also endorsed Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, for the governorship bid in the upcoming elections.

They commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for his leadership and contributions to Ogun State's development and reiterated their commitment to supporting both Tinubu and Abiodun in their political engagements.
